Hi, My name is Francisco and I love to paint!

During the day I am the President & CEO of Marand Builders. At night and on the weekends I paint. One weekend in 2012, my teenage son Andrés wanted to paint because he was taking art classes at school. I found the opportunity as something that we could do together and proceeded to buy easels, canvases and paint. I was hooked after my first painting. 

From portraits to landscapes to abstracts, I paint with no boundaries. Ultimately, I consider myself just the conduit of the final product. I am not in control. The more you let go of the process, the more surprised you are with the final results. My paintings reflect my experiences in travels, activities and my engineering interest to try new tools and technics. 

With no formal art education and an engineering degree to complicate things more,  I have the freedom to paint in any style I please, and I like it!! I am blessed to have found painting as my hobby and encourage you to try it!
